Welcome
To Historic Hanson Kentucky, The Antiques and Art Center Of Western
Kentucky
Hanson has the distinction of being Kentucky's
smallest historic district with a thriving art and antiques community.
What we lack in size we make up for in charm and character. With
the recent rehabilitation of the downtown Hanson area, our sidewalks
are once again leading shoppers and visitors to our downtown
stores. With architecture from the late 1870's - 1890's, what's outside
is just as fantastic as the fabulous shops inside these architectual
treasures. From art and antiques to biscuits and B-B-Q, Hanson
Kentucky has something to offer for everyone. Hanson Kentucky
has undergone a wonderful transformation from a town that was
quickly deteriorating to one of renewed historical pride with
a feel of days gone by. Reaching back into its vibrant history,
Hanson is once again alive and has become a haven for artisians
and antique collectors.
Hanson Kentucky is definitely one of those places that you should visit if you
love to eat so be sure to stop by one of our fine eateries while visiting downtown.
The Hanson Country Market serves up incredible homemade BBQ and deli sandwiches
on fresh Amish Sourdough bread. Sausage biscuits are hot in the a.m. Stop by
and chat with your neighbor or call or fax your order in for pick-up.
Hometown Pizza & Sub is the place for hot subs, pizza, and wings. Loaded with ingrediants and free delivery is the standard for this local favorite.. Call 322-1033 to place your order.
The Campus Grill is located in a restored, circa 1879 brick building that
was originally the town hardware store. Tim and Shannon Maulding specialize in
fried catfish, homemade hushpuppies, and their famous green tomato relish. They
also specialize in the friendliest service around and homemade mouthwatering
desserts daily. Open Wed.- Saturday 11-8 and Sundays 11-3, y'all come down for
a real feast. Besides fish there's Black Angus Steaks, Smoked Salmon, super pork
chops and other great items on the menu to choose from.
Good Ole' Boys has been serving up the best biscuits and gravy to the locals
for years. There's a full breakfast menu and for lunch you can have your choice
of freshly made BBQ pork, beef, mutton, or ribs. Buy up a few pounds to take
home with you. There's a full lunch menu and plenty of good conversation to go
with the good food. Closed Sunday and Monday.
